How long does ABA therapy take to show results?

Every child is different and timelines vary depending on the individual programme, goals, and how consistently strategies are applied at home and school. Many families begin to notice meaningful changes within the first four to six weeks of a well-designed programme. We will always be clear with you about what progress looks like for your child specifically.

Does my child need a diagnosis to access ABA therapy?

No. You do not need a formal autism diagnosis to access our services. If you are concerned about your child's behaviour, communication, or development, we can help. A Functional Behaviour Assessment is often a valuable first step regardless of whether a diagnosis is in place.

What is ABA parent training and what will I learn?

ABA parent training is a structured programme in which a Board-Certified Behaviour Analyst teaches you the specific strategies needed to support your autistic child at home. Sessions are personalised to your child's individual behaviour profile and delivered via video call. You will learn how to understand the function behind your child's behaviour, respond in ways that reduce distress, and use positive reinforcement effectively.

How is this different from generic parenting advice?

It is completely different. We do not offer generic parenting tips. Every strategy we teach is matched specifically to your child's individual profile, communication level, and daily routine. Our training is grounded in the science of ABA and informed by a thorough understanding of your child before the first session begins.

How many sessions will I need?

This varies depending on your child's needs and your goals as a family. Most parents begin to feel meaningfully more confident and equipped within the first three to four sessions. We will discuss a recommended programme with you during your free consultation and review progress regularly throughout.

Is online parent training as effective as in-person?

Yes. Research consistently shows that ABA parent training delivered online produces outcomes equivalent to in-person training. The convenience of online sessions also means parents are more likely to attend consistently, which is one of the most important factors in achieving lasting results.

Can both parents or carers attend the sessions?

Absolutely and we actively encourage it. The more adults in a child's life who understand and consistently apply the same strategies, the better the outcomes for the child. Both parents, grandparents, or any other primary carers are welcome to join sessions.
